Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals Autism. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to promote independence, safety, and well-being within their homes or out in the community. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, behaviour support, ensuring a respectful and nurturing environment. Prior experience working with individuals with Autism and learning disabilities is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised support and care.
Responsibilities
- Assist service users with daily living activities and accessing the community.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, behaviours observed, and any incidents.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Support clients during outings or appointments, including driving when necessary.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in client condition, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities.
- Certifications in first aid are highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for supporting clients outside the home setting.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and following care plans.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for individuals needing support.

Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
