HVAC Working Supervisor – Hinkley Point C
Hinkley Point C | Day & Night Shifts Available | £29.34 – £32.27 per hour + Bonus + Lodge Allowance
Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Rate: £29.34–£32.27 per hour (depending on experience) + potential bonus up to £2.93 per hour
Night Shift Allowance: +22% uplift
Shifts: 10 days on / 4 days off | 10‑hour shifts (Overtime paid after 38 hours per week) Lodge Allowance: £50.18 per day / £355.67 per week (where applicable)
We are recruiting an experienced HVAC Working Supervisor to join the team delivering installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems on the Hinkley Point C project — one of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure builds.
This role is ideal for a time‑served HVAC professional with supervisory capability, strong technical knowledge, and experience working within highly regulated environments such as nuclear, defence, power generation, or major industrial projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervising HVAC Operatives and Mates on installation and commissioning activities
- Installing bracketry, ductwork, and in‑line HVAC equipment
- Setting out works using engineering drawings, CAD details, and instructions from engineers
- Assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring work meets project specifications
- Reviewing and inspecting work completed by subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with RAMS, Permit to Work systems, and site safety controls
- Supporting testing and commissioning of ductwork and associated equipment
- Maintaining accurate documentation and quality records
What We’re Looking For
- Level 2 Heating & Ventilating qualification (minimum)
- Enrolment onto ILM Level 3 (or willingness to enrol)
- LATS, SSSTS, or IOSH Managing Safely
- Experience supervising HVAC installation teams
- Strong understanding of ductwork installation, alignment, and commissioning
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and set out works accurately
- Previous experience in nuclear, defence, power generation, petrochemical, or major infrastructure
- CCNSG Safety Passport (or ability to renew)
- Strong communication, leadership, and safety awareness
