Job Overview
Approx 42.5 hours per week (excluding breaks) Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Participation in a weekend call-out rota (1 in every 4 weekends) is required and will be remunerated with a call-out fee.
Occasional evening and weekend work may also be necessary
What you will do
You will be assisting with the maintenance of equipment and machinery at our main bakery site and shops across Hertfordshire. You'll be part of a team responsible for ensuring that general servicing & maintenance works are carried out to a high standard, both planned & reactive, to facilitate smooth and efficient running.
- You will be responsible for a group of shops across our 44 sites
- Conducting routine weekly maintenance inspections
- Performing scheduled servicing of machinery
- Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns
- Assisting with shop refurbishments and improvements
- Undertaking high-level cleaning tasks
- Painting and tiling
The role requires a self driven individual with a good maintenance background in electrical/mechanical .
You should be able to work as part of a team and individually, unsupervised in a trustworthy manner and have a sound knowledge of health & safety regulations.
You should be able to keep accurate records of maintenance & repairs and demonstrate the ability to maintain a schedule of programmed maintenance requirements.
You must have a full driving licence as you will be travelling across the county (work van supplied in business hours)
