Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management in accordance with care plans
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to promote best practices and professional growth
- Lead the development and review of individual care plans to ensure they reflect residents’ evolving needs and preferences
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure clear understanding of care requirements and updates
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities using IT systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Support residents’ emotional well-being by engaging in meaningful activities and fostering a positive environment
- Drive safe driving practices when transporting residents or supplies as needed within the community or care home premises
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a care home setting with a focus on senior care
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care environment
- Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to develop, implement, and review detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Valid driving license with the ability to drive safely when required for resident outings or errands
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and compliance standards relevant to senior care
