Due to the Retirement of our Catering Manager, the Hebden Bridge Schools Federation is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised person, to continue the great work and to lead our in-house catering provision. Based at our central production kitchen, at Riverside School, you will oversee the preparation and delivery of meals not only for our Federation schools but also for a growing number of local schools that purchase our catering service. We pride ourselves on maintaining, year on year, a 5-star food hygiene rating.

The Role
As Catering Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of our catering service.
- Plan and oversee the production of nutritious, high-quality meals for multiple school sites.
- Manage food preparation, ordering, stock control and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen regulations.
- Coordinate meal production schedules and delivery arrangements across schools.
- Supervise, motivate and develop a dedicated catering team.
- Build positive relationships with schools purchasing the service and respond effectively to feedback.
- Support the continued growth and development of the Federation's traded catering service.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of managing or supervising a catering operation.
- Experience of menu planning, food preparation and food service delivery.
- Knowledge of food hygiene regulations, allergen management and nutritional standards.
- Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills.
- Experience of budget management, stock control and supplier management.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
