Job Overview
Keco Energy is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Wet Trade Operative, with plastering as their core trade, to join our growing team.
The role will involve delivering high-quality plastering, making-good and general building works across domestic renewable energy projects, supporting installations including Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging.
While plastering will be your core trade, this is a multi-skilled role. You will be expected to work flexibly, support other team members and undertake additional duties as required to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plastering works including skimming, patch repairs, plasterboarding and making good.
- Complete rendering and external making-good works where required.
- Undertake minor brickwork, blockwork, pointing, screeding, tiling and general building repairs within your level of competence.
- Make good areas affected by mechanical, electrical and renewable energy installations, including around pipework, cable routes and penetrations.
- Support colleagues with general site duties, preparation, material handling and other reasonable tasks as required.
- Work collaboratively with installers, engineers and subcontractors to support successful project delivery.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high-quality, defect-free standard.
- Protect customers' homes and ensure work areas are left clean, tidy and presentable.
- Identify and report defects or additional works promptly.
- Provide required job documentation and photographic evidence of completed works.
- Follow all health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Represent Keco Energy professionally when working in customers' homes.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Plasterer is essential.
- Strong skills in skimming, patch repairs, plasterboarding and making good.
- Experience in rendering and external finishing works is desirable.
- Additional wet trade skills, including brickwork, blockwork, pointing, screeding or tiling, would be advantageous.
- General building and property maintenance experience is desirable.
- Experience working in occupied domestic properties is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering a high-quality finish.
- Ability to use construction hand and power tools safely.
- Flexible, proactive and willing to support the wider team outside of your core trade.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
