Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wrap around Room Leader to join our team. As a Wrap around Room Leader, you will be responsible for managing a group of children and ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. This is a leadership role within our wrap around provision, requiring excellent communication skills and a passion for early childhood education.
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the room
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children
- Work with our experienced team to plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth functioning of the room
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of play workers
- Ability to drive the implementation of early childhood education curriculum
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Passionate about providing quality care and education to young children
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
Essential:
- Relevant level 3 Early Years Education or play worker qualification or equivalent
- Designated Safeguarding Lead Training
-Prevent Duty Training
- Paediatric First Aid
- Food hygiene
