Smart Solutions are excited to be partnering with a leading global manufacturer of advanced Defence & Aerospace systems. Based at their centre of excellence, we are recruiting experienced Paint Sprayers to join their expanding production team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly skilled manufacturing environment, carrying out precision paint spraying and surface finishing on complex mechanical components and assemblies to the highest quality standards.
Shift Pattern
4 on, 4 off rotating shifts:
- Days: 7:00am – 5:00pm
- Nights: 5:00pm – 3:00am
Pay
- £16.39 per hour
- Plus shift allowance
- Overtime available following successful completion of training, paid at enhanced rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare components for painting, including masking, cleaning, sanding and surface treatments.
- Apply primers, paints and specialist coatings within a spray booth environment.
- Produce high-quality finishes on aerospace and defence components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Carry out visual inspections and touch-up work where required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and compliant working environment.
- Ensure all work meets strict quality, safety and production standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer within an aerospace, automotive, defence or precision engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint application and curing processes.
- Experience working with two-pack paints and industrial spraying equipment.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and engineering documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience working to aerospace or defence quality standards would be highly advantageous.
