Cover Supervisor
Location: Holywell, Flintshire
Contract Type: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Excell Supply is recruiting confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Holywell and the surrounding areas. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning and that classroom expectations are maintained.
This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, and individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable experience within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions.
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students in completing assigned tasks and activities.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour.
- Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and school procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence working with secondary school-aged students.
- Strong organisational and classroom management abilities.
- A professional, proactive, and flexible approach.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
