Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Full-time Early Years Educator/Childcare Room Leader to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will lead a childcare room, delivering engaging activities that support children’s development while ensuring their safety and well-being. Your leadership will inspire a positive learning environment where children can thrive and explore confidently.
Duties
- Lead daily activities within the childcare room, creating fun, educational experiences tailored to each child's developmental stage
- Oversee and support junior staff members, providing guidance and mentorship to foster teamwork and professional growth
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in line with regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and daily routines
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning plans that promote early childhood development across all areas
- Ensure compliance with all childcare policies, procedures, and legal regulations
- Support children’s social-emotional development by encouraging positive interactions and independence
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood education or nursery environments
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and best practices in early years education
- Ability to motivate and lead a team with enthusiasm and confidence
- Excellent organizational skills to manage daily routines efficiently
- Valid driving license is desirable for supporting nursery activities outside the premises
