Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and maintain high standards of cleanliness across various commercial premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are hygienic, tidy, and presentable, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Previous janitorial experience and familiarity with commercial cleaning procedures are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers a vital service in supporting the organisation’s commitment to cleanliness and health standards.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to meet hygiene standards.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed.
- Use specialised cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a high level of organisation in storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures is desirable.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, which may include early mornings or late evenings depending on the site requirements.

Pay: £12.71-£15.50 per hour
