We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a strong commitment to supporting a clients with various needs.
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting client with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Providing behaviour management support to help clients develop positive coping strategies
- Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients for any side effects
- Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring they arrive safely
- Responding promptly to emergencies and providing first aid when necessary
Skills
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and first aid practices
- Strong behaviour management skills to effectively support clients with challenging behaviours
- A caring and empathetic nature, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Capability to drive and hold a valid driving licence for transporting clients when needed
We have two lovely ladies who needs a patient support worker. Hours required are:
9:30am until 3:30pm (Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays)
