Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist with the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Engage with children through play, conversation, and educational activities to foster their social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment suitable for young children
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations within the nursery
- Support with administrative tasks such as record keeping and updating children's progress records
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for children and staff
Requirements
- Genuine interest in working with children and a passion for early childhood education
- Previous nursery or childcare experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate leadership qualities when appropriate
- Good organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between nursery locations or family visits
- Management skills or experience in leadership roles are beneficial but not mandatory
- Willingness to undertake training courses related to childcare and early childhood development
