Qualified Dental Nurse – Part-Time (3 Days per Week)
We are currently seeking a qualified Dental Nurse to join our independent dental practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a small, friendly, and supportive team where patient care and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
Position Details:
- Role: Qualified Dental Nurse
- Hours: Part-time – 3 days per week (Mon-Wed)
- Location: Top of North Hill in Colchester city centre
About You:
- Hold a recognised UK dental nursing qualification (e.g. NEBDN or equivalent)
- GDC registered (or eligible to register)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organised, and a strong team player
- Committed to providing high-quality patient care
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assisting the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures
- Preparing and maintaining the clinical environment, including decontamination and sterilisation of instruments
- Ensuring all cross-infection control procedures are followed in line with current guidelines
- Providing chairside support and ensuring patient comfort at all times
- Updating and maintaining accurate patient records
- Supporting reception duties when required, including greeting patients and managing appointments
- Maintaining stock levels and ordering dental supplies
- Adhering to all practice policies, CQC requirements, and GDC standards
