We’re looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to join our friendly kitchen team at The Griffin Newquay.
This is a vital role within our busy kitchen, helping to keep everything clean, organised and running smoothly while supporting our chefs during service. Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a busy commercial kitchen is essential, and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running.
Your role will include:
- Washing plates, cutlery, pots and pans during busy service.
- Keeping the kitchen, wash-up area and outside areas clean, tidy and organised.
- Assisting the chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Cleaning kitchen equipment and work surfaces to the highest hygiene standards.
- Restocking kitchen supplies and keeping storage areas organised.
- Ensuring waste and recycling are disposed of correctly.
- Supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Following all food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter or in a busy commercial kitchen.
- Is reliable, hardworking and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Is flexible and able to work evenings and weekends when required.
