Tusker House is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Person in Charge to support our Management Team and help lead the delivery of person-centred care for our residents living with dementia.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Carer or care professional who is ready to develop their leadership skills and take the next step in their career within a supportive and rewarding environment.
About the Role - As Person in Charge, you will work closely with the Management Team to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained across the home. You will support, guide, and motivate staff, helping to create a safe, caring, and positive environment for residents, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Management Team in the day-to-day running of the home.
- Provide leadership and guidance to care staff.
- Promote and maintain high standards of quality care and resident wellbeing.
- Ensure person-centred care plans are implemented effectively.
- Support staff development, supervision, and best practice.
- Assist with compliance, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating professionalism and compassion at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Has proven experience working in a Senior Carer or similar supervisory role.
- Has experience supporting individuals living with dementia.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Remains calm and effective under pressure.
- Is passionate about delivering outstanding elderly care.
- Demonstrates strong leadership potential and a positive attitude.
