ELATT Sixth Form
ELATT Sixth Form supports young people, including those with SEND and SEMH needs, to develop independence and progress into work, further learning or training. Our programmes combine vocational learning, English and Maths with a high level of pastoral and keyworker support, ensuring that each learner has a clear, personalised pathway.
SEND support is central to our provision. We provide structured, needs-led support through consistent routines, targeted interventions and close working with external agencies. Staff work collaboratively to remove barriers to learning, build resilience and develop the personal and employability skills learners need to succeed.
We maintain a consistent and supportive environment, alongside employer-led projects and enrichment, so that students gain both the confidence and practical experience to thrive beyond Sixth Form.

Term: Part-time Fixed Term Contract
Annual leave: 30 days per annum plus bank/public holidays (pro rata)

Aims of the post
ELATT is seeking a passionate and skilled Business Administration Teacher to deliver Business Administration qualifications and employability skills to both adult learners and sixth form students.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is committed to preparing learners for professional and administrative careers through the development of practical workplace skills, digital competence and business knowledge. You will support learners to gain qualifications and progress into employment, apprenticeships and further learning.
Many of our learners may have experienced barriers to education and employment, including learners with SEND, SEMH needs, interrupted education or low confidence. We are looking for a teacher who can build positive relationships, engage learners through creative and inclusive teaching and maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
The successful candidate will be organised, enthusiastic and learner-centred, with a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and continuous improvement.

Person Specification Essential
Qualifications and Experience
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert.Ed, DTLLS or equivalent). (F)
- A qualification in Business Administration, Business Studies, Management, Information Technology or a related discipline at Level 3 or above. (F)
- At least two years' experience teaching or training adults and/or young people within Further Education, Adult Learning or Sixth Form provision. (F)
- Experience of planning, delivering and assessing vocational programmes leading to recognised qualifications. (F)
- Experience of using Microsoft Office applications and digital technologies within a business environment. (F)
- Experience supporting learners to develop employability and workplace skills. (F)
Desirable
· Experience delivering Business Administration qualifications at Levels 1 to 3.
· Experience of supporting adult learners returning to education or employment.
· Experience of teaching learners with SEND, SEMH and/or EAL needs.
