Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Pendle Village Mill, BB9 5NG
About the Role
Pendle Village Mill is looking for an organised, proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of our warehouse operations across our furniture and interiors departments.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing stock movements, coordinating deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the warehouse operates safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will play an important part in supporting both our showroom teams and customer deliveries, helping to ensure stock is available, organised and ready for sale.
This role requires someone who is confident working independently and able to take ownership of the warehouse function. You must be self-motivated, organised and capable of managing your workload without direct supervision.
We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, a practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and stockholding areas
- Receive, inspect and organise incoming deliveries from suppliers
- Ensure stock is stored safely, accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory records and carry out regular stock audits
- Coordinate stock transfers between warehouse and showroom departments
- Support the planning and organisation of customer collections and deliveries
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages or discrepancies
- Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and used safely
- Operate forklifts and other handling equipment in line with health and safety procedures
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and organisation throughout the warehouse
- Support showroom teams with stock availability, replenishment and merchandising requirements
- Handle furniture and stock safely, including regular lifting and moving of large items
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies and health & safety regulations

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stock control or logistics role
- Strong organisational and inventory management skills
- Experience coordinating deliveries and stock movements
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable handling physical tasks, including lifting and moving furniture
- Good understanding of warehouse health and safety practices
- Forklift experience or certification is beneficial but not essential
