Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening supplies, plants, and horticultural products tailored to their needs
- Provide expert advice on gardening techniques, plant care, and horticulture best practices to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain attractive product displays through effective merchandising strategies to boost sales and highlight seasonal items
- Keep the store organized by restocking shelves, managing inventory levels, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the sales area
- Communicate product features, promotions, and store policies clearly in multiple languages including English and Spanish when needed
- Support inventory management by tracking stock levels, assisting with deliveries, and updating product information
- Foster positive relationships with customers by listening attentively, answering questions thoroughly, and offering personalized recommendations
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a strong plus
- Working Hours between 05.30am-14.30pm, across 3 days, Monday to Friday.
- Hot Food To Go Experience Would Be Good, But Not Essential.
- Passion for gardening, horticulture, or related fields with some knowledge of plant care and garden products
- Strong organizational skills to manage displays, stock levels, and customer inquiries efficiently
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative independently
- Multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Previous retail or merchandising experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
