We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to support site-based activities across a range of engineering and construction projects for Allied Protek. This is a hands-on role focused on testing, validation, and ensuring systems are installed and operating correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out commissioning activities on systems, plant, and equipment
- Perform on-site testing, inspections, and fault finding
- Review technical documentation to understand system requirements
- Record test results and prepare basic reports
- Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and site personnel
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Experience in commissioning, testing, or a similar engineering role
- Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, or process systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work on-site with teams
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as required
Additional Information
- Contract role
- Site-based, with travel to multiple locations depending on project needs, could include international travel at times.
- HQ – based in Grimsby.
- Rate is dependent on experience
