Join Our Growing Residential Conveyancing Team
Goldsmiths Solicitors is an ambitious and growing law firm, and we are looking for a talented and motivated Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor to join our expanding Conveyancing Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 2 years' residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive, professional and forward-thinking firm.
The successful candidate will be confident in managing their own caseload, have a strong understanding of the residential conveyancing process, and be committed to providing an exceptional level of client care from instruction through to completion.
The Role
You will manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Registered and unregistered properties
- Shared ownership transactions
- New-build purchases
- Transfers of equity
- Remortgages and other related residential conveyancing matters
Key Responsibilities
- Managing files from initial instruction through to completion
- Conducting your own residential conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders, solicitors and other third parties
- Providing clear, practical and timely legal advice to clients
- Keeping clients regularly updated throughout their transaction
- Progressing transactions proactively and efficiently
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation and correspondence
- Identifying and resolving issues that may cause delay to transactions
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive file records
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legal, regulatory and firm requirements
- Conducting and complying with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures
- Identifying and reporting any compliance concerns where appropriate
- Contributing positively to the continued growth and development of the Conveyancing Department
About You
We are looking for someone who is professional, organised and proactive, with a genuine commitment to providing excellent client service.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer
- A minimum of 2 years' residential conveyancing experience
- Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process from instruction through to completion
- Experience managing your own caseload
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A professional and client-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach
- A strong understanding of compliance and AML requirements
