We are seeking a motivated Heat Treatment Trainee Operator to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and loading of materials into heat treatment equipment under supervision
- Monitor temperature controls and record process data accurately during heat treatment cycles
- Support the inspection of treated materials to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and tools
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Learn to operate basic fabrication tools such as hand tools, grinders, and welding equipment as part of training programmes
- Assist with basic assembly tasks involving sheet metal components and tooling as directed
- Support team members in troubleshooting minor issues during heat treatment processes
Experience
- No prior experience required; training will be provided on all operational procedures
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts or previous exposure to fabrication, grinding, or welding is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with sheet metal work or assembly processes is beneficial
- Basic maths skills are necessary for precise measurements and data recording
- An interest in developing knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing techniques is desirable
