Are you practical, hands-on and experienced in painting, preparation or finishing work?
We’re recruiting for a Production Operative / Painter to join the Fab Shop of a well-established engineering manufacturer in Northampton.
This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, preparing and painting fabricated components to the required quality standards. We’re interested in candidates with industrial, manufacturing, automotive or other practical painting experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing fabricated components ready for painting
- Applying paint and finishes to components
- Carrying out surface preparation
- Using hand and power tools where required
- Checking finished work to ensure required quality standards are met
- Following work instructions and production processes
- Handling and moving components safely
- Working to production targets without compromising quality
- Following all Health & Safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised working area
What we’re looking for
- Previous painting, preparation or finishing experience
- Industrial, manufacturing or automotive painting experience would be particularly beneficial
- Good practical, hands-on ability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Able to follow instructions and work accurately
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
