Salary: £42,000–£43,000 + bonus opportunities
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
No weekends, nights or bank holidays

A
WCA Clinical Assessor role gives you the opportunity to use your clinical knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement in a structured, non-front line environment.
You’ll assess how an individual's
health conditions and disabilities affect their functional ability and capacity for work, using your clinical expertise to produce accurate, evidence-based reports.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct structured Work Capability Assessments (WCA)
- Take detailed clinical histories and assess functional limitations
- Review and critically analyse medical evidence
- Assess the impact of physical and psychological conditions on functional capacity
- Apply clinical reasoning and professional judgement
- Produce clear, accurate and objective clinical reports
- Work within relevant DWP assessment criteria and guidelines
- Complete assessments via telephone and face-to-face
- Receive full, paid training and ongoing clinical support
Who We're Looking For:
You must be a registered:
- Nurse – NMC
- Physiotherapist – HCPC
- Occupational Therapist – HCPC
You should have relevant post-registration clinical experience and be confident with
clinical assessment, history-taking, evidence evaluation and professional decision-making.
Please note: This position is specifically for the three registered professions listed above. Applications from Social Workers, Healthcare Assistants, Support Workers, Paramedics, Receptionists, Administrators or other professions will not meet the requirements.
