Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Salary: Competitive (based on experience) + performance bonus
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
About Us
We are a family-run organisation dedicated to providing high-quality care and support for children and young people. Our ethos is centred on creating safe, nurturing, and empowering environments where every child can thrive. With the launch of our brand-new children’s residential home, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead the service and grow with us.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new home from the ground up, with clear potential to dual-register in the future and access wider progression across our expanding company.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will:
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the children’s home.
- Ensure the home is compliant with Ofsted regulations and consistently achieves positive inspection outcomes.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a team of dedicated staff to deliver outstanding care.
- Create and maintain a child-focused culture that promotes safeguarding, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, stakeholders, and the wider community.
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the growth of the organisation.
About You
We are seeking a motivated leader who is committed to making a real difference in children’s lives.
Essential:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Children’s Residential Services (or working towards).
- At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting, with 1 year in a supervisory/management role.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Passion for providing high-quality, child-centred care.
Desirable:
- Experience of registering a new home with Ofsted.
- Ambition to grow into a dual-registration role and beyond.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary with performance-related incentives.
- 1 or 2 children within our homes, so smaller teams with more effective impacts.
- Supportive family-run company culture with direct access to senior leadership.
- Ongoing professional development and training.
- Real career progression opportunities, including dual registration and senior management roles as we expand.
- A chance to make your mark on a brand-new home and build a legacy of excellence.
