Many pupils also have additional physical, sensory, communication and social needs, so we're looking for people who are patient, resilient and genuinely motivated by helping young people make progress.
This isn't about expecting every pupil to learn in the same way.
It's about understanding the individual child, adapting your approach and helping them develop their communication, confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

- Supporting pupils with physical and/or personal care needs where required
- Following individual support strategies and education plans
- Helping maintain a safe, structured and positive learning environment
- Working closely with teachers and other professionals
- Monitoring pupils' wellbeing and reporting any safeguarding concerns appropriately
Who we're looking for
Previous SEN experience would be beneficial, but we're also interested in people from backgrounds where you've developed the patience, empathy and resilience needed to support children with complex needs.
You could come from:
- SEN or mainstream education
- Care or support work
- Residential care
- Youth work
- Early years or childcare
- Healthcare
- Sports coaching or mentoring
More important is your attitude.
