We are looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Supervisor to join our Sales team in Wombourne.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the Sales Office and ensuring the team delivers a high standard of customer service, commercial performance and operational efficiency.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will supervise and develop our Internal Sales Administrators, allocate workloads, manage priorities and act as a key point of escalation for customer and operational queries.
You will also deputise for the Commercial Manager when required, helping to ensure the continued smooth running of the Sales function.

Support the day-to-day operation of the Sales Office and ensure efficient workflows.

Supervise and support two Internal Sales Administrators, including allocating work and setting priorities.

Coach, train and develop the Internal Sales team to improve capability and commercial awareness.

Work closely with the External Sales to support sales growth and new business opportunities.

Act as the first point of escalation for customer, operational and internal sales issues.

Deputise for the Commercial Manager during periods of absence.

Build and maintain strong, professional customer relationships.

Support the achievement of agreed sales targets and budgets.

Assist with customer pricing, discounts and account terms in line with company guidelines.

Work alongside Credit Control to ensure accounts remain within agreed credit limits and payment terms.

Use Phocas to analyse sales trends, identify opportunities and support business growth.

Ensure sales administration, documentation and records are accurate and completed within required timescales.

Support month-end processes and ensure deadlines are met.

Assist with annual leave planning and ensure appropriate team cover.

Monitor holidays, sickness and absenteeism in line with company procedures.

Attend meetings and represent the Sales function when required.

Promote a service-led and customer-focused culture across the Sales Office.

Ensure Health & Safety procedures and standards are consistently maintained.

Provide wider team support and undertake additional duties where reasonably required.
We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and commercially minded, with the ability to lead and support a small team.
You will ideally have previous experience in a sales, customer service, commercial or supervisory environment and be comfortable taking ownership and making decisions.

We operate with small teams, so flexibility and teamwork are essential. Everyone is expected to support colleagues when required and provide cover during periods of absence.
Annual leave will need to be coordinated with the wider team to ensure appropriate operational cover, with only one member of the team taking holiday at any one time, other than during the Christmas shutdown period.
