Due to further expansion of the business, we are looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team of professional drivers.
We are seeking a reliable and professional multi-drop palletised freight driver to deliver and collect palletised goods efficiently and safely. The successful candidate will ensure timely deliveries and collections while maintaining excellent customer service standards and compliance with all transport regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out multi drop deliveries and collections of palletised freight(typically 10 - 25 drops per day depending on route.
- Load and unload vehicles using tail lift and pump truck
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Ensure all goods are secured safely and comply with load safety regulations
- Complete delivery paperwork and use electronic POD systems where required
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all delivery points
- Comply with driver hours, working time directive and tachograph regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle
- Report any delays, accidents, or issues promptly to the transport office
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence(cat c)
- Valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card Previous multi drop experience preferred Good geographical knowledge Physically fit Strong time management and organisational skills Good communication skills Forklift experience useful
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday 07:00 - 18:00
- Saturday rota to do 1 in 4 Saturdays
