Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic math skills for processing payments.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain high service standards.
- Uphold the restaurant's policies and procedures while fostering a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is required
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is essential.
- Experience in serving or kitchen roles is an advantage, particularly culinary experience.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly disposition and willingness to assist others.
