JOB BRIEF
Please Note: This is a temporary role to help Ridiculously Rich by Alana, until September. There is a potential for this to extend after September, but this is not yet a guarantee.
You will mainly be assisting with operations in our warehouse, packing and dispatching goods. You will also be required to assist with processing of stock, including receipting goods, completing paperwork and shelving items in the correct locations. A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the bakery. With the business expanding and our cakes in more demand than ever, you will be joining a busy and enthusiastic team baking and dispatching handmade tray bakes.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
BAKERY WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT
Assisting with stock control.
Receiving goods and deliveries.
Completing deliveries and collections as required
Compliance with Health & Safety and hygiene guidelines
Ensure standards are kept very high for our customers
Assisting with dispatching deliveries
Ad hoc responsibilities within a bakery environment i.e. completing delivery notes, checklists and general day to day tasks
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- The role can be physical with long periods spent standing and requires some heavy lifting
- An interest in baking will help but not essential
- Ability to work well individually, take initiative and contribute to a team
- Hard working and ability to work under pressure/to strict deadlines
- Willingness to learn new skills
- General understanding of the products and skills required
- Passion and enthusiasm, positive attitude and motivated
The Operative will be required to work from the bakery premises in Aberystwyth.
The role is paid at National Living Wage.
As above, this is a temporary part time role Monday to Friday, the hours will be between 8am & 4pm, until September - there is the potential for this to become permanent on reduced hours, but this is not guaranteed.
