Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our rapidly expanding group. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing day to day financial duties, for the group holding, and both subsidiary engineering companies. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Group Accountant.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Bank reconciliation, posting and balancing
- Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
- Compiling and submitting weekly wages information to external bureau
- Reporting on debtors and creditors
- Quarterly VAT return preparation and submission
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of management accounts
Person Specification
- AAT level 4 qualified or nearing the end of the qualification
- Would consider QBE
- Experience with Xero accounting
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies
- Assist with internal controls and process improvements to optimise financial management efficiency
- Able to collaborate well with the financial and management team
- Flexible approach to work
- Proactive attitude towards improving systems

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
