Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career in dental healthcare and patient administration. The position involves supporting both clinical and administrative functions, providing a comprehensive introduction to the dental profession. We are a mixed NHS and Private and specialist practice. We provide opportunity to grow and expand your knowledge in specialist areas, including Implant surgery, sedation, oral surgery, orthodontics and more. A great opportunity to join a highly experienced dental team assisting dental professionals with patient care and chairside support during treatments.

Responsibilities
- Providing the best chair side care to our patients and assistance to the dentist.
- Assist the dentist with general administration duties.
- Complete all decontamination duties in line with current regulation.
- Ensure all clinical logs are completed in line with current regulation.
- Support the reception team with telephone and administration duties.
- Support the Head Dental Nurse with occasional compliance tasks.
- Help us to provide the best possible patient journey.
- Welcoming patients, checking them in, and managing appointment schedules at the reception desk
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic systems efficiently
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing patient enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Supporting administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and handling correspondence
- Assisting with stock management of dental supplies and equipment
- Upholding confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a friendly demeanour
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Basic IT skills for operating practice management software and electronic records systems
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn about nursing procedures, dental treatments, and administrative processes
- Prior experience in nursing is advantageous; training will be provided. Pay: From £13.00 per hour
