Twilight Care Assistant
Residential Care Home | 4:00pm – 11:00pm
About the Role
We are looking for caring, compassionate and reliable Twilight Care Assistants to join our residential care home team, working 4:00pm to 11:00pm.
Our home has recently been placed into Special Measures by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and is now under new management. We are committed to making significant improvements to the quality of care, safety, leadership and experience of our residents.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at an important time of positive change. We are looking for people who genuinely care about supporting older people and who want to play an active role in helping us build a safe, respectful and welcoming home.
Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, person-centred care and support to residents.
Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting, while maintaining dignity and privacy.
Support residents with their evening routines and prepare them for a comfortable night's sleep.
Assist with meals, drinks and refreshments during the evening.
Encourage residents to remain as independent as possible and support their individual choices.
Communicate effectively with residents, relatives and colleagues.
Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional wellbeing.
Maintain accurate and timely care records in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
Promote a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
Work positively with colleagues and the wider management team to improve standards within the home.
Support residents to enjoy meaningful interaction and activities during the evening.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow the home's policies and procedures.

Flexible shifts may be available depending on the needs of the home.
