Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, a calm demeanour, and a strong commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and providing assistance in emergency situations. All applicants must hold valid SIA Door Supervisor licences and be prepared to work flexible hours as required.
Duties
- Manage entry and exit points, verifying identification and authorisation of visitors and staff
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity within the premises
- Perform loss prevention activities by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or unauthorised access
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security threats and ensure a safe environment for all attendees
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary
- Record detailed incident reports accurately and report any concerns to relevant authorities or management
- Enforce venue policies and procedures consistently while maintaining professional conduct at all times
- Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods, ensuring smooth flow of visitors
Experience
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential
- Previous experience in security or surveillance roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and loss prevention techniques is advantageous
- Basic first aid certification is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance are required for effective interaction with the public and team members
