Warehouse Operative – Day Shift
Location: Tamworth
Shift:
Two shifts to choose from
Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00
First few days - Training and Induction 09:00-17:00
Salary: £12.98 per hour, weekly pay
Major Recruitment is currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives for a well-established site in Tamworth, working with one of our prestigious customers in the sportswear industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and supportive warehouse team, handling high-quality products for a globally recognised brand.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for:
- Picking goods within the warehouse and operating PPT forklift.
- Receiving inbound land freight
- Booking in deliveries accurately
- Sorting and splitting freight in line with customer procedures
- Using handheld scanners within the warehouse management system
- Carrying out manual handling tasks
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all health & safety and site procedures
- Operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as trained
About You
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have previous warehouse experience (essential)
- Have a good understanding of written and spoken English (essential)
- Possess basic maths skills (essential)
- Hold PPT Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
- Hold a Counterbalance Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
- Hold a Reach Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
- Have knowledge of the land freight industry (desirable)
- Are reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
