Overview
Joint operational management of a major client for Cal Logistics in Devizes.
- Hours: 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
£34K starting salary.
For the right candidate, if anything needs tweaking slightly, we are up for that conversation.
Working in Logistics or something similar and you believe you have the skill set to work in a busy operational environment, booking in client requirements and using a national courier pool of drivers to manage an immediate delivery.
Cal Logistics deal with many large National companies who require Sameday deliveries or contract logistics and you will be joining a team of 16 employees in Devizes town centre.
We are a dynamic logistics business, who is evolving and developing quickly, and we are on the hunt for another passionate and keen operator/logistician to join our evolving company.
The ideal candidate will possess strong IT skills, calm and considererd communicator, excellent verbal and phone manner and understands the importance of organisation and prioritisation within the workload.
Duties
- Management of several email inboxes
- Assist with customer enquiries via phone and email, ensuring professional communication at all times
- Manage couriers by allocating work, monitoring their bookings for collection & delivery and pricing.
- Monitor our service through our Transport Management System to ensure collections & deliveries are all on time with customers expectations.
- Utilise various IT portals so must be proficient with IT.
- A character & personality that can support a lively operational environment.
What we need
- Logistics operator or something similar is preferred
- Proven experience with IT systems is required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate professional phone etiquette
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Someone who wants to learn quickly, develop and create a career
- Work independantly as we thrive on autonomy & accountability
- Excellent listener and a calm natured individual
Pay: From £34,000.00 per year
