Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a culinary role. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with meal preparation for different service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to customers or staff
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of food and cleaning procedures
- Support the team during busy periods, including serving customers when required
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly and maintained properly
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
