Main purpose
As a Welcome volunteer you will be meeting and greeting visitors to the museum, ensuring they have excellent experiences.
You shall be doing some of these…
- welcoming visitors and taking tickets sales
- providing a brief summary of what they will expect
- helping with shop sales
- assisting the museum survey our visitors
- ensuring every visitor leaves having enjoyed their time with us
The role would suit someone who…
- enjoys engaging with people and is happy learning how to use a till
- is looking to find out more about how museums work
- wants to help an independent charity on the Suffolk Coast

Location and Hours
Felixstowe Museum, View Point Road, Felixstowe IP11 3TW
- the museum is open to the public Easter to November, with behind-the-scenes work continuing over the winter
- this role best suits someone who can provide a full day each week or fortnight
