Overview
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring projects are financially viable.
Duties
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information
- Evaluate material, labour, and equipment costs for construction projects
- Utilise cost estimation software and tools to produce detailed estimates
- Monitor project progress and update cost estimates as needed
- Ensure cost control measures are implemented throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent mathematical and IT skills
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Nice-to-have: Experience in cost control within construction projects
