HRUC is a successful merged College Group, bringing together Richmond Upon Thames College, Harrow College and Uxbridge College, based across 5 vibrant campuses. ESOL, Sixth form, English and Maths at Richmond offers wide-ranging provision and has maintained highly successful outcomes for our learners.
Reporting to the Assistant Principal for Quality and Curriculum, you will lead a team of curriculum and support staff, and will be responsible for the full range of provision on full and part time courses, including managing the quality of the provision. You will lead on development planning in the area, including supporting the team with preparations for qualification changes.
We are seeking an individual with management experience gained within Further Education who can demonstrate the following:

Degree or equivalent and a minimum of Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector

A skilled practitioner in teaching , learning and assessment with a Business, Sport, Travel or Catering specialism, and experience of implementing strategies to improve attendance and retention

Specialist knowledge and experience in ESOL, Sixth Form, English & Maths, including knowledge of curriculum developments and recent initiatives

Understanding and practical application of inclusive learning strategies and a proven commitment to equality and diversity

Successful experience of managing a team, including coaching and developing staff

Experience of managing change and implementing new initiatives including curriculum developments
Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group (HRUC) and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old’s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre in 2024.
