Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen & Restaurant Cleaner to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for both staff and customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality settings and a keen eye for cleanliness, ensuring the highest standards are upheld at all times. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory. A positive attitude and commitment to excellence are essential qualities for success in this position.
Duties
- Thorough cleaning of kitchen areas, including surfaces, appliances, and utensils to meet health and safety standards
- Sanitising dining areas, tables, chairs, and surrounding surfaces regularly
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as required, adhering to hygiene protocols
- Maintaining cleanliness of storage areas and ensuring proper organisation of supplies
- Managing waste disposal efficiently and responsibly
- Supporting the restaurant team during busy periods by ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen and dining environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes is advantageous
- Experience in kitchen or culinary roles will be highly regarded
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Deep clean kitchen equipment including fryers, grills, griddles and food preparation areas.
