Support Worker
Location: Rowlands Gill NE39
Hours: 12 hour shifts from 9am - 9pm, 4 shifts one week, 3 shifts the following week - Alternate weekends are a must and flexibility to cover holidays and sickness is required.
Pay & Benefits
- £13.10 per hour for Monday to Friday shifts
- £14.10 per hour for Weekend shifts
- £20 per hour for Bank Holiday shifts
- £26 per hour for Christmas Day & New Year’s Day shifts

About the role
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate support workers to join our team supporting a female who requires complex care due to a brain injury.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional care and support to an individual in their own home, follow person-centered care plans and promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Safely transport client to appointments, activities, and outings using clients own vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Provide prompting and oversight of medication, observe food safety of client preparing meals, support with household tasks, social support and other activities of daily living, tailored to individual needs.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, showing empathy, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Collaborate with team members, healthcare professionals, and others to ensure coordinated care delivery and promptly report any changes or concerns.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including care records, incident reports, and other relevant paperwork.
- Taking part in MDT’s when required.

Requirements:
- A full UK driving licence (client’s vehicle will be used)
- Previous experience in providing brain injury care
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and cover any unexpected sickness and holidays
- Must work alternate weekends
- An outgoing, bubbly and chatty individual
- A caring person who must understand professional boundaries, our client lives within her own home, there is a staff room for if overnight care is required and for where staff can go during the day if she would like some alone time
- Our client enjoys going away for 1-2 nights therefore our staff must be available to go away with them and stay overnight
- Must be comfortable with horses as the client has their own horse
- Due to the needs and requests of the people we care for, it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement of this position to be FEMALE, in accordance with Schedule 9 of The Equality Act 2010.
It would be great if you also have:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Ability to swim as our client loves to go swimming
