Who are we:
We are a family owned private dental practice in Kidsgrove looking for a staff member to help meet the increasing demand in our services. Due to a departing colleague, we are looking for a qualified full time dental nurse. We may consider an apprentice if the right candidate applies.
Our practice offers implants, orthodontics, sedation as well as all general and cosmetic dentistry. Our practice also offers a referral service to local practices around Staffordshire.
What the role involves
- Understand the vision and brand message for the practice, and deliver outstanding customer service experiences
- Providing the highest standard of clinical support to our dentists and hygienists
- Perform top quality dental nursing in all procedures in a safe and effective manner
- Prepare equipment, materials, lab work and patients with efficiency and empathy
- Provide outstanding customer service at all times
- Any other ad hoc responsibilities as reasonably requested
- Reception duties
- Treatment co-ordinating which involves intra-oral scanning, discussing the treatment in detail with the patient and then following up with the patient's progress
What we need from you
- Maintain professional indemnity and registration with the GDC
- Comply with the ‘Code of Ethics’ of the British Association of Dental Nurses
- Undertake CPD in line with the GDC guidelines
- Knowledge of CQC and compliance
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
- Friendly and welcoming manner
- Strong teamwork ability with an enthusiastic attitude
- Good work ethic and having the initiative to work efficiently
- Proficient user of the requisite dental software and Microsoft package
- Has had all relevant vaccinations including Hepatitis B
Opportunities:
- Able to learn and develop further skills such as implants, orthodontics, 3D intra-oral scanning and IV sedation.
- This candidate will eventually have opportunities to have his/her own clinical sessions taking digital impressions, radiographs and photographs
- This candidate may have opportunities working with our 3D equipment and will be trained to help with fabricating crowns/bridgework, scanning models.
- There are opportunities for the correct candidate to obtain roles with more responsibilities such as treatment co-ordinater and even management.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 845am-5pm
Wednesdays 845am-7pm
Friday 845am-4pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £8.00-£14.00 per hour

Experience:
