Experienced Dog Groomer
We are looking for a passionate, skilled and reliable Experienced Dog Groomer to join our friendly and professional team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced groomer who takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering the highest standards of care for every dog. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ professional dog grooming experience.
- Recognised dog grooming qualification/certification (City & Guilds, iPET Network or equivalent).
- Confident grooming all breeds to a high professional standard.
- Excellent scissoring, clipping, hand stripping and breed styling skills.
- Experience handling dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments.
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Friendly, reliable and professional with excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and the ability to work efficiently in a busy salon.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and wellbeing.
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
Main Duties
- Groom dogs to a high professional standard.
- Bathing, drying, brushing and de-shedding.
- Clipping, scissoring and breed-specific styling.
- Hand stripping where required.
- Nail clipping and ear cleaning.
- Carrying out basic health and skin checks during grooming.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic working environment.
- Providing excellent customer service and discussing grooming requirements with owners.
- Managing appointments efficiently and keeping to schedule.
- Ensuring the welfare, comfort and safety of every dog throughout the grooming process.
- Assisting colleagues and contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
