Day Shifts: 7:00am – 7:15pm (12.25-hour shifts)
Contract: Full Time or Part Time considered
Up to 3½ shifts per week

About the role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll work closely with the Home Manager to ensure our residents receive the highest standards of care whilst supporting and leading the care team throughout each shift.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help maintain our warm, welcoming atmosphere while ensuring care is delivered safely, professionally and with compassion.
Flexibility is important, as you may occasionally be asked to cover annual leave for other Senior Care Assistants, including day or night shifts when required.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and support the care team during each shift.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and choice.
- Administer medication safely and accurately in line with policies and procedures.
- Support residents with personal care where required.
- Ensure care plans and daily records are completed accurately.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns promptly.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
- Welcome visitors and support prospective residents and their families when required.
- Mentor and support new and existing members of the care team.
- Promote a safe, caring and positive environment for everyone in the home.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant or in a similar leadership role.
- Is confident administering medication.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Leads by example with kindness, professionalism and compassion.
- Works well as part of a team while being confident making decisions independently.
- Is committed to delivering outstanding person-centred care.
- Is flexible, reliable and dependable.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting older people to live fulfilling lives.
