Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team and our newly opening Under 2s Room from September 2026. Days of work are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 08:30 - 15:00
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with experience working with under 2 children in nursery / preschool settings. The candidate must hold a full and relevant early years qualification at level 3 or above.

Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support children's emotional and behavioural development through positive reinforcement and effective communication
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that meet individual needs of children
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor play
- Manage classroom resources efficiently and ensure equipment is maintained in good condition
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles
- Management skills to organise activities and oversee group dynamics effectively
- Leadership qualities to guide and motivate team members while maintaining a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work confidently with children of various ages, demonstrating patience and empathy
- Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices in early years education
