Established in 1971, Tara Signs is a well-established leader in the corporate signage industry, manufacturing and installing high-quality internal, external, and digital signage across the whole of the UK & Ireland. Operating from our main Sussex factory for over 50 years, we work with major global brands to deliver bespoke manufacturing solutions. We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated full-time Sign Maker with CNC Routing experience to join and strengthen our fast-growing workshop team.
The Role
This is an interesting, varied, and hands-on position within a fast-paced workshop environment. Alongside general sign fabrication, you will play a key role in operating our CNC machinery. You will work closely with our production team to meet tight deadlines during our busiest periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC router machinery to accurately cut, profile, and engrave various sign components.
- Fabricate corporate signage using aluminium, composite materials, and acrylics.
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to program, set up, and assemble bespoke sign configurations.
- Maintain quality control across all stages of production to ensure flawless brand execution.
- Manage workshop timelines to consistently meet strict project completion dates.
Requirements
- CNC Experience: Proven experience setting up and operating CNC routers/cutters.
- Industry experience: Previous experience within the sign-making industry would be an advantage .
- Material expertise: knowledge of working with metals, plastics, and composites.
- Technical skills: High proficiency with workshop hand tools and fabrication machinery.
- Flexibility: A positive attitude towards working overtime as and when required by business demands.
- Work ethic: Sharp attention to detail, highly organised, and capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines.
