Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, kitchen management, and service delivery within our establishment. This role requires a passionate professional with strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire kitchen operation, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of performance.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise profitability
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Oversee and manage offsite events
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and food safety standards.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and menu development.
- Experience in managing kitchen operations including inventory control, cost management, and staff training.
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with serving procedures in a hospitality context.
Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
