Duties
- Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently, adhering to legal and organisational standards
- Providing expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Assisting with medication administration in clinical settings, including ICU environments when required
- Monitoring patient responses to prescribed treatments and adjusting medication plans accordingly in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date pharmacy records in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supporting the pharmacy team with inventory management, stock control, and procurement processes
- Participating in patient care activities such as medication reviews and counselling sessions
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including infection control measures
Skills
- Proven experience working as a Pharmacist within hospital or clinical environments
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and medication administration procedures
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and compassionately
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced healthcare settings
- Organised with meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficient in pharmacy software systems and record keeping practices
- Flexibility to adapt to varying clinical environments and shift patterns
