Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge beverage service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving sales, managing inventory, and upholding the organisation’s high standards of service.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, including serving, preparation, and general customer service
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring quality standards are met
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control inventory to minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety procedures
- Lead staff training programmes on service techniques, food safety, and responsible alcohol service
- Develop innovative drink menus in collaboration with the culinary team to enhance customer experience
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly and professionally
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue
- Maintain a clean and organise cellar and help with stock control .
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, preferably in bars or restaurants
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
- Knowledge of hospitality operations including serving, barista experience, and culinary experience
- Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations related to food handling and alcohol service
